Packaging that closes the loop
in Australian recycling

Established in 1994, Recyclable Packaging (Rpak) is a 100% Australian, family-owned, and locally-operated company manufacturing high-quality, recyclable PET and polystyrene packaging for Australian and New Zealand businesses.

We support the businesses, supermarkets, and farmers that want to reduce their carbon footprint, decrease costs, and improve their reputation by providing them with products that are fully recyclable, made from recycled content, and can be made bespoke at request.

Our purpose-built manufacturing facility is HACCP accredited and operates successfully to meet the high standards demanded by our clients.

Sustainability at Rpak

We’ve been exclusively making food packaging from recycled post-consumer materials and post-industrial waste since 2010– a move inspired by our founder Michael Reid’s daughters who pushed him to make more eco-friendly products.

Our commitment to sustainability extends to everything we do as a business:

  • Our range of Double Green® products contain at least 50% recycled content (well over the Australian Packaging Covenant’s 30% mandatory minimum) and are 100% recyclable

  • We’ve installed a turnkey solar power station at our facility to offset our energy consumption

  • We’re signatories to the Australian Packaging Covenant, and in 2022 we achieved the highest performance level in meeting the Covenant’s core criteria

Remade in Australia:
supporting Australia’s circular economy

We’re 100% committed to recycling – but we’re one of only a few Australian plastics manufacturers that have closed the loop to produce 100% recyclable packaging.

To nurture a sustainable resource industry in Australia, we’re a strong supporter of Remade in Australia, an independent initiative that promotes peaceful and creative campaigns to educate Aussies on our current recycling waste crisis.

Our objective is to engage Aussie retail giants and fresh fruit growers. We want to encourage them to package their products in Australian-made and sourced plastic containers and packaging.
